**Exciting** Collaboration with our One City Schools Health Team and University of Wisconsin – Madison, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
Using saliva to test for COVID-19 may help to keep our school safe for scholars, teachers and staff while proving in-person learning, and may help to reduce the demand for scarce testing resources.
COVID-19 TEST using a quick and easy "spit test" for ages 5-years-old and up.
All samples will be processed and analyzed at One City Elementary School the same day.
If you haven’t signed the consent form, it is not too late. You can approach the tables outside the Coyier Building and register ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd while testing is taking place.
This is available to ALL One City staff at our preschool and elementary school, and ALL One City Scholars in 5K through 2nd grade. Our decision to invest in continued testing beyond the four weeks will be determined by how many staff and children complete the test weekly in November.
HOW IT WORKS?
1. Sign Consent: Please click on the links to get the consent forms:
The Parent Informed Consent is for parents to consent for their children, ages 5-7, to take part in the study
Here is also a short video demonstrating how the spit testing works.
Following video was made by a district in Chicago utilizing this type of test to ensure they are all healthy and ready for in-person instruction. It is linked here as an example only.
