Dear One City Supporters

With Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers’ recent order to close all schools in Wisconsin until at least April 6th due to efforts to control the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, the situation for our school, families and community has changed. A significant portion of our families will be adversely impacted by the closure of our school and other community services, and we are obligated to demonstrate our strongest leadership to help them at this time.

The obligation to support our families is paramount

Please see the communication we sent to our families on March 13, 2020 by clicking here. In addition to ensuring there is a strong education strategy for our children, we are surveying and assessing the individual financial, employment, health and child-care needs of our families one-by-one.

Whether it’s their ability to purchase food and basic supplies, pay rent and/or unexpected childcare costs, stabilize their families through a loss of employment or a reduction of work hours due to their employer closing or reducing their workforce and expenses, our families need our help.

We are united behind the belief that we must be on the front line for our families

It appears that we will not have COVID-19 under control any time soon. The virus will continue to impact our schools, businesses and families in the coming months. As a result, we will continue to raise funds through our COVID-10 Family Impact Relief Fund to support our families who have experienced job loss or a reduction in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will also provide technology and WiFi access to our families whose children are learning virtually, and financial support for child care, food and basic supplies when we have to close a classroom or school because of a positive COVID case, resources permitting.

But we need your help, too!

Many of our families are school dependent — and they need to lean on us right now.  We are determined to be their beacon, no matter what this situation brings. Your financial donation of any amount will be used for immediate COVID-19-Impact Relief for One City families.

We guarantee that 100% of your donation will go to support our families.

We will keep an accurate accounting of what we do with the funds we receive and will report to you and other members of our community who donate to our COVID-19 Family Impact Relief Fund, what we did with the funds. You will receive a report by the 6th of each month that identifies how these funds have helped our families in the previous month. Should there be any funds remaining at the conclusion of this crisis, we will survey our donors to determine how you would like us to expend the remaining dollars.

We know our families.  We know who needs help.  We have to be ready to help them.
