Taylor holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Public Policy and has a background in political advocacy. She has written legislation to help individuals build wealth and has provided verbal testimony at public hearings. Taylor also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer, spending two years in rural Zambia. She enjoys running on trails and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
