Dear Parents and Families,
I am excited to begin my practicum teaching in the Cross-Categorical program at One City
Elementary and Middle School this fall. With a lifelong passion for education and extensive
experience in both early childhood and K–12 settings, I look forward to supporting students with
diverse learning needs and partnering with you in their growth and success.
I hold a Ph.D. and M.S. in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and am
currently completing a K–12 teaching licensure program at Edgewood College, where I expect to
graduate in Fall 2025. I currently hold a Minnesota K–9 teaching license and will obtain my
Wisconsin K–12 license upon program completion.
My teaching career spans more than two decades. I taught preschool for 19 years at
UW–Madison, followed by 2.5 years in a childcare center. Before earning my Ph.D., I also
served as an instructor in UW–Madison’s Teacher Education Program, where I taught literacy
and diversity/social justice courses to teacher candidates who now serve in MMSD classrooms
for 4 years. More recently, I worked with 8th-grade students at Whitehorse Middle School,
Rochester Public Schools ( MN), and completed additional practicum hours in both elementary
and middle schools in Cross Plains, Wisconsin and Sun Prairie Creekside Elementary school.
I am especially excited to transition into the elementary school and middle school settings, where
I can apply my expertise in special education and educational psychology. My B.S. degree in
Special Education and Educational Psychology, along with prior international licensure in K–12
education, has given me a strong foundation for working with students with special needs. I am
also honored to be a TEACH scholar, which has deepened my knowledge of best practices in
education.
I look forward to contributing to the One City Elementaryand middle School community and
supporting your children in their learning journeys. Thank you for welcoming me into your
school family, I am eager to work together to help every student thrive.
